MERIDIAN, ID – Meridian Parks & Recreation is thrilled to announce the return of Sparklight Movie Night for the 2025 summer season! This beloved community tradition kicks off on Friday, May 30, and continues every other Friday night: June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, and August 8.

Families are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs after 7:00 p.m. to enjoy pre-movie activities and Settlers Park’s many amenities. Movies will light up the night at dusk on a giant 30-foot inflatable screen.

NEW THIS YEAR: Special Date Night - On August 8, join us for a special Date Night movie event! Couples and friends can enjoy a PG-13-rated film under the stars. Youth are welcome with an adult, but parents should be aware of the PG-13 rating and consider if the movie is appropriate for younger viewers.

Settlers Park is packed with family-friendly attractions, including the Adventure Island Playground, a brand-new splash pad, a climbing rock, cornhole courts, a sound garden, and a fishing pond. Concessions will be available for purchase, or feel free to pack your own picnic.

Important Reminders:

• Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Unaccompanied minors will not be permitted.
• All areas of Settlers Park outside the designated movie viewing area will close at sunset.

More Summer Fun:  On alternating Friday Nights when movies aren’t showing, the fun continues with the Connections Credit Union Kleiner Park Live summer concert series! Free performances by popular local bands will rock the bandshell at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on the following dates: June 6 and 20, July 18, and August 1 and 15. A big thank-you to Connections Credit Union for sponsoring these lively nights!
